Chance of Life
Seven women, bound by the common belief that self-help is the only way out of misery and poverty, came together in 2003 to set up this non-profit organisation.Based out of Bochum, the NGO works in close contact with the Trust supporting our women’s initiatives and personally visiting the center twice a year.
In 2007, Rita Steinau visited our centre in Karjat and interacted with the children at Anando. This led to her organization Chance of Life sponsoring 10 girls and this number has only increased in the past years. Today, they sponsor 60 girls, a large number of whom come from areas where educating a girl child beyond primary school was not a norm. Regular visits by the team and donors allow them to interact with the girls and have a positive influence on their growth.
