The Light of Life Trust lives up to its name. It has brought hope and joy to all the lives touched by it. The concept is amazing - a holistic embrace of all stages of humanity - from children to the elderly. Villy Doctor has created this synergetic interplay of care giving and seeking within the larger family of humanity. It has changed the way I perceive caring. I now appreciate that family is not just about blood, that it is a sharing of common beliefs and a common goal. The Trust has moved from strength to strength with every passing day. This would not have been possible without the constant effort of Villy Doctor and her team. They work incessantly, always smiling, creating miracles.
My association with LOLT began in the year 2008. The cause that the trust has been working for- education and upliftment of underprivileged children is what we all must devote some time to. I have been trying within my capacity to be a part of the various events for fund raising by the Trust,i am an artist and I have made some paintings for some of the Trust's events. I think the association with LOLT has enriched me as an individual,Anando Project being my dream for the last 15 years.
In our busy everyday lives we often forget to stop, look and reach out.
With Light of life I have been able to derive great joy in reaching out and touching the lives of those who need a hand. A small action has multiplied and touched many.
All the volunteers and social workers are honest and compassionate. They spread joy and love to every life they touch.
That’s what makes Light of Life Trust SO SPECIAL.
Today, watching Light of Life Trust grow from strength to strength, I am reminded of the story of Jack and the beanstalk. A few seeds were scattered and low and behold, they have sprouted and grown into a sturdy tree giving fruit and shade. I have been associated with LOLT practically since its inception. Anando was the first vertical of the trust to be flagged off with a handful of children and a few field staff. Today Light of Life Trust is professionally run and I am extremely proud to be associated with it. The Trust is giving yeoman service to the nation in areas where no NGO has, as yet dared to tread.
